Dr. Dinh Thi Hinh
Phenikaa University
Dr. Dinh Thi Hinh obtained her master’s degree in materials science in 2013 and her Ph.D in 2016 from the Ulsan University, Korea. Afterward, she started her work at the Faculty of Material Science and Engineering (MSE), Phenikaa University, Vietnam, from 2019. Her main research interests are development of piezoelectric ceramic materials for different electric device applications (such as sensors, actuators capacitors,) and fundamental electrochemistry.

Nguyen Thanh Tuan, MSc.
Ph.D. student
MSc. Nguyen Thanh Tuan obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics and Nanotechnology in 2010 from the University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University (VNU), Hanoi, and his Master’s degree in 2013 from the Nano Fusion Department, Pusan National University, Korea. In 2024, he was awarded First Prize as Entrepreneur Mentor for the NanoSeed+ student group from Phenikaa University in the contest “Creative – Student Start-up Phenikaa 2024.” From 2024 to 2027, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Science and Technology Management at the Vietnam Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), under the supervision of Prof. Tu Le Manh.
His main research interests include:
Development of nanoporous copper foil for water filtration and antibacterial applications
Micro heat pipes with nanoporous copper
Recycling of rare earth elements
Nanoindentation techniques

Kiem finished his BSc. and MSc. degrees in Environmental Chemistry at Hanoi National University of Education in 2018 and 2021, respectively. His previous research activities were on enhancing the photocatalytic activity of different metal oxides and semiconductors including graphene quantum dots, and TiO2 for the degradation of antibiotic pollutants in an aqueous environment or textile wastewater treatment. Since March 2021, he has worked as a research assistant in the AEC LAB at Phenikaa University. His current research focuses on studying metals and semiconductor metal oxides by electrodeposition method for electrochemistry and gas sensor applications.

Trinh Nguyen Thi Thuy
In September 2023, Trinh completed the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). At HUST, she participates in scientific research under the guidance of lecturers in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. She researches mainly on electrochemical glucose sensors applied in early detection of diabetic patients.
Since April 2024, she has worked as a research assistant in the AEC LAB at Phenikaa University. Her current research studies metals by electrochemical methods applied as catalytic layers for fuel cells.

Duc Chien Van
Studying the Advanced Program in Mechanical Engineering, in 2021, Chien obtained his BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Thai Nguyen University of Technology after that, he worked at the Manufacturing Processes Laboratory as a practice instructor. From February 2023, he studies MSc in Materials Science and work as a research assistant in the Applied Electrochemical Research Group at Phenikaa University.

Dung Hoang Thanh
Dung finished her MSc. Degree at Department of Chemistry, Sookmyung Women’s University (Seoul, Korea). Her previous researches focus on improving the photocatalytic performance of metal oxide nanoparticles via metal ion doping and calcinating with NaBH₄ to increase the density of oxygen vacancies on the material surface. This material system was applied to the process of biomass conversion, i.e., the conversion of HMF (5-hydroxymethylfurfural) into FDCA (2,5-furandicarboxylic acid) - a promising agent for replacing fossil fuels in biopolymer production.
Since August 2025, Dung starts working as Reseacher in the AEC Lab at Phenikaa University. Currently, she is working on the synthesis of TiO2 and CeO2-based catalysts doped with precious metals (Pt, Pd) by hydrothermal and electrochemical methods for water treatment and water splitting applications.

Minh Duong Do
Minh Duong is studying at the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology program of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University. Quan is a junior at the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology program of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University.
